There is also someone else I can blame this morning for Blueberry's chosen nest spot, the only boy she will let near her Bubba. She hates Basil and kicks his butt when he comes near her. Branch also does not attempt to entice her as she just growls at him when he looks her way. She has been attached to Bubba's hip for the past week and he has made several different nests in the hay pile with her supervising. After she laid her egg this morning he was still guarding and talking to her as she dust bathed. Here are the two love birds.

That is so sweet. What a good fellow he is. Now you need to train him to suggest better sites for laying!

White indicates a fungal too me but I am not a medically trained person.

They used to use a salt gargle in the past and for some reason unsweetened yogurt and that seemed to do the trick

That’s what I used to use for such a condition too.

Drama here too! Jaffar is Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde this morning. He was fine inside the house, but I just brought him out to the ladies, and WOW instant Rooster mania! I had to give him some feed, before he goes outside, because he shares his food with all the others (leaving nothing for himself).

If I recall, he is in his 'PRIME', so you should expect that, particularly in the morning!

Here’s the Christmas gift my sister sent me (received it today) nice sweater!

My office became over run with clucks visiting me haha! I wasn't getting any work done and they were eating what was left of my petunias!

I went out and tried to reason with my girls since it is New Year's Eve to make a resolution to not be broody at the drop of a hat. I also asked them to get it together this year and if chicks were hatched to give me pullets. They promised nothing.

Sad News

Sansa passed away today. I just found her in the run. I will not be doing a necropsy. I really don't care why she passed. She was active and seemed fine, a few hours later she was gone.

Rest in Peace my friend.
