Well, it looks like BYC, my phone, and the cell connection are still grumpy about sharing pictures! Lol so Here’s Mr. Jimmy Pickletoes and Arduinna:View attachment 2985002
One of the Mudslides here on the Farm (I literally haven’t left the property since last November…)

Mrs BY Bob is in love with Mr. Jimmy Pickletoes. And of course Arduinna. :love

The Flooding and mudslide look quite frightening. I can't imagine being sick like that. I'm so glad you are working through it and surviving.

Here is Sammy on the mend, this was about a day or two before I declared him fit to return to the flock

It was total chaos while he was inside with us… Dean is not the Best Rooster, about managing the cockerels (yep there’s about ten too many! As usual…) or keeping an eye out for the BBB (Bad Big Birds) like eagles, Owls, and Hawks.

We also had a really nasty cold snap, and I finally have had to deal with Frostbite. Dean was an idiot and literally went outside in unreasonable temperatures with a nasty wind. It was just ridiculously cold when he went out, with a few brave (dumb) ladies. They at least took shelter under a bush, I looked out and saw his silly feathered butt standing near the bush, hunched up in the wind. I ran out and returned everyone to the coop, but the tips of his comb ended up blistered and black, so of course a hen pecked it for him… he was bleeding and she wouldn’t leave him alone so I brought him into the trailer for a night. The very next morning he picked a fight with Sammy, several times (I guess the eggs for breakfast made him feel a little too good?).

Sammy ended up with a black eye, can you believe it? And I ended up with a house Rooster for over a week! I was thinking about @featherhead007 a lot that week!
Mine have gotten much smarter this year and simply stay in the coop when it's that cold. I'm very glad of it.

Of course they had to top it off with a fight. What better time for it?

Oh I have missed him. Good roosters are hard to come by!

He’s the Best, he hardly pooped on the carpet at all, and didn’t get into any mischief while he was in with us… He wasn’t thrilled about the bathroom accommodations at night, but he seemed to know that we were doing it for his own good. At first I was worried he may have lost the eye, the swelling was so bad. He has returned to being the Flock leader, but it took about a week of him regaining confidence. Dean was not in my good books for a fair Chunk of January… I’m going to have to get more pictures of everyone, it’s still pretty muddy and nasty here weather wise, and there’s several new Streams.

I’ve got some Rainwater Catchment happening though, a tarp and a gutter! Lol and I installed a diesel heater, so we have actually been reasonably warm inside the trailer from mid December on. (That’s the weird hose/box thing in the background)

I'm glad to hear you are keeping warm. I know that has been a challenge in the past.

Any pet mice in the arm of the chair this year? I'm also curious if the toilet is still holding together!

I can’t recall if I shared this one of my little crate goat… lol but she decided she wanted the top bunk

And while Daddy was away she literally stole his spot in the bed…

And Jimmy… lol loves eating, just not spaghetti! It’s one of the few things we’ve offered he has refused, so sometimes Arduinna still gets it as a special treat!

And it’s quite Possible that Rose might not like Jimmy so much in person… he is extremely fragrant, but I am now completely noseblind to it. Lol

And the diesel heater is a dry heat, so way less condensation and mold! As for the toilet… we’ll I had to pull it out again, there were some “structural issues” with the flooring of the bathroom due to liquids. So although the toilet thankfully still functions… there’s a stylish new 3/4” plywood slab as a floor, with liberal amounts of “what I had on hand when I fixed it” (interior acrylic latex) caulk. I am going to be in the house this winter, so it will hold for now! Today’s House

we have basically full coverage of the first floor with plywood and tomorrow I’m covering it with housewrap (just for the rainy season, until we can get it dried out and a roof up!) and yes I know that’s not flashing Tape, but better than nothing…

And I accidentally loaded another Jimmy pic… I need to practice more to remember how to use BYC!
