Can chickens eat leftover sloppy joe sandwich meat? :old:idunno
Just make sure it doesn't have a lot of sodium in it. Did you make the sloppy joe mix, or buy premade/canned sloppy joe...or use a seasoning packet? The latter two usually have pretty high sodium content unless you purchased a 'no salt' or 'low salt' version. Other than that, it should be fine.

Nope. No sodium. Just hamburger, onions and tomato paste. They loved it.

Aaaaahhhhh, nothing like a good, community, dust bath!!:love:love

Lovely Sunshine mug there, too ;)

?Little Mil was limping...is she okay?:(
Little Mill has had a slight limp since she was a pullet, but it’s gotten really bad lately. She is acting sore, so I suspect she sprained it. She is self-limiting her activity and I’m helping her down from the roost each morning. I am hoping it will heal up on its own with time, but think it will likely take weeks.

Free Ranging on a Saturday

Yesterday's free range meeting went very well despite the need for them to work on some pecking order reminders and establishments.

Betty must have been relationship building along the drop door as no one was phased at all when she came around the corner and joined everyone.

Here is the first time they truly met, beak to beak.

Aurora did give her one little peck that weren't nothing but Lilly knows how to welcome new hens. The best part of this video is when Lilly spits out Betty's feather at the end. I don't know why but it made me giggle. Poor Betty but that is so classic Lilly. The old girl still has it.

I can’t recall if I shared this one of my little crate goat… lol but she decided she wanted the top bunkView attachment 2985032
And while Daddy was away she literally stole his spot in the bed…View attachment 2985033
And Jimmy… lol loves eating, just not spaghetti! It’s one of the few things we’ve offered he has refused, so sometimes Arduinna still gets it as a special treat!View attachment 2985034
And it’s quite Possible that Rose might not like Jimmy so much in person… he is extremely fragrant, but I am now completely noseblind to it. Lol
They are adorable looking little creatures

Looks great and the Lilly feather spit is hilarious. What is the DIY going on? I see tools.
Also, Betty seems to be quite large (tall). Is that right?

Phyllis Explores Everywhere

Once she was allowed out Phyllis took off and started exploring everywhere. While the others mainly stayed around the coop, Phyllis went everywhere she could.

She blazed a trail right through her old friends.

Sydney did feel the need to reassert her dominance. This looks worse than Phyllis seemed to take it.
