And a prefab garden shed those 8x8 metal ones are likely pretty inexpensive...
You don't really want an all metal one (or at least not without significant modifications). Metal heats/cools quickly, so will get lots of condensation with chickens in it, plus will not provide ANY moderation of temps for the chooks (from heat nor cold), it will only act as wind-break. She would need to add insulation and/or plywood the whole inside to really make that workable. She would actually be better off with a double walled plastic one than a metal one. Add screws at joints and a cross-coop roost to hold long sidewalls together above 1/2 way mark so sidewalls don't bow. They usually have vents in gables.....

What do you guys think of this for my flock of ten? It’s expensive amd on the small size compared to what they are used to, but looks nicely made. The assembly video really shows the size. It would be quick smd easy, assuming we could get it shipped in time.

Ok. I'm going to ask the most important question.

Will there be a run as well or is this the only living space they will have?

These guys were are shark tank. You should you tube the episode. I have not but I definitely remember them being on. There might be some helpful information that they share there on the coop construction.

I agree, this seems very well made for a prefab. You will not find better than that. There is no roosts though. You will need to add roosts. It should not Bea problem as you have plenty of 2x4s to build off of. I like that it is elevated as well. Depending on run, you will likely need the wire covers to go around the base to keep them safe.

Hunting for the last snippets of the breakfast sardines. Not sure if Cheetah actually tasted any as he kept calling the girls who fell on them like starving jackals (some got snuck to Jessica too)

Bottom up to top: Cheetah, Blanche, Cuckoo, and Nellie

Temps up to 32 already today: more snow melt, but winter storms still likely through Mother's Day

I agree. Just say no to a metal coop. 🚫

Yes that would work too, there are many options. Actually there are any number of options at different price points. I look forward to seeing what option it is! I always like to get ideas from others that I too can possibly use 😊
