What an excellent photo!Diana’s mugshot for Monday. She wanted to be sure I wasn’t hiding any treats in my pockets.

Such wonderful times.I may be totally wrong, but I'm beginning to suspect I have easter eggers. They just have too much brown in their chick down. The first chicks momma hen hatched were easter egger crosses. All but 1 of them hatched out chipmunk colored. Whatever they are they are super friendly. Over the weekend me and Rosie would get them out individually and together several times a day to bond with them. Ezzie and all 3 orps if given the opportunity gravitate toward Rosie. My little chipmunks, prefer me. Rosie is rubbing it in that MY silkie and the orps love her more.
That photo is outstanding!Happy Mugs Monday!

Yup EEs were suggested and it is what I suspect. I feel like a idiot not fully researching mom's short list breeds. I don't mind EEs, bearded and non bearded almost all of them are beautiful chickens. I am going to have to start having conversations with the chicks daily now though. I have 5 to 6 months to plead with them not to lay a blue egg but a brown one lol.I believe that when I catch up someone will have told you EEs. They look like they could be EEs to me.
Arizona is on the porch, under the table, making me breakfast.I’m happy to report, that there has been no toe biting this morning (Arizona made good on her promise)![]()
My ignorant neighbors, wouldn’t take the blue eggs that Canna used to lay. I considered that a good thing.Yup EEs were suggested and it is what I suspect. I know this is a terrible thing to say on Bob's thread, but I prefer brown eggs. If they are EEs and IF they lay blue/green eggs Rosie will be doing cartwheels. No matter the color of the shell, the eggs will taste the same.My ignorant neighbors, wouldn’t take the blue eggs that Canna used to lay. I considered that a good thing.![]()
