I've added calcium to yogurt and kiwi fruit today. I worry about putting it into her beak but I may for once later. She stalks me every time I leave them and is back to waiting for me at night. That can be so frustrating. I have one that lays jelly eggs and gets egg bound as well. I have resorted to sneaking out to the coop at night to shove calcium down her a couple of times a week. We'll see if that helps, I just started this. Darn chickens, if only they weren't so lovable, we could quit worrying.
Just observing here, that box arrangement is higher than the perch to the right. They may instinctively want to sleep in the highest spot they get to. That was what the Buckeyes did. They slept on the two highest perches. Lots of shuffling around, snuggling and some pecking. Sometimes somebody was pecked away and had to take the next lower one. I think perches force a horizontal arrangement that maybe isn't all that great for chicken society. If that box gets too small - they are getting snug in there! - are you going to make another bigger one? I would. They like it there.I have to laugh. Just checked in on the baby Hooligans via camera before going to bed.
That is Lulu with her head hanging over the side. Looks like that antenna she carries around is getting heavy!

They know something is different with their biggest tribe member. I could tell from your earlier video you had a change in your voice, they hear that too. You are doing what a sick chicken would do, just sitting and being pretty still. Haven't we seen this with other's tribes? They are keeping you company.Awww… and then Lucky hopped up, even though she’s molting. This is a plus of not feeling well. I’m forced to sit down.

Horribly windy here too - and wet. I met a friend for dinner last night and they had steak but didn't finish it. I snagged the left overs for my Princesses. Goodness, they really do like steak!I wonder what I could do to make my chooks happy today? Due to wind conditions, my plans have changed (so I’m staying home with the family) maybe I will cook up some bacon (We all like bacon)
