Littles got some sun

First visitor: Thing. Second was Jess, parking her pair in a nearby bush. Not sure if she was going for drive off or those are mine, but she tried to get in with them, then abruptly gathered up her pair and went back over to the olive trees. 3rd visitor was Twirp. She's shown the most interest in all the babes (hobbits included), loitering near most of the day, going on a bit of a ramble, then circling back to hang near them. They stayed out for close to an hour, then moved into the coop. The wind is blustery and cool while the temp is mid 60sF.

Leaving the outside area set up for now. More time there coming as temps supposed to hit upper 60s-low 70s all week.

Caught this one a bit later

Seems she likes damp soil as the hose was running above this, soaking the compost again..

My sisters miniature dachshund ate an entire chocolate Easter rabbit that was bigger than the dog itself and was fine
I also read somewhere that chickens shouldn’t eat avocados but a friend feed literally pounds of avocados to her chickens because a semi loaded with them wrecked near her house and they got the spill… and they were fine too.. so I don’t know.

I heard the same for dogs that avocados are toxic but my dog has a little now and then

That's why we need rain, snow, hail, sleet....moisture any way we can get it!

I tried to find some pictures that show both the setting, and picking the hay.
We don't have that much, the land is steep, and it's been fun doing it the old way...when we are many.
When there's only the two of us we do it one patch of land at at time when the weather allows it and the grass is right.

Inquiring minds need to know, how were you able to keep them from trying to rip the bag to pieces? Mine go after the bags or boxes their treats are in if I'm not dishing them out fast enough.

Well, my old rooster BLU was black, and he sired seven little black baby chicks (five were roosters)

Wow that's bad odds!

At least I had 50, 50 split

Inquiring minds need to know, how were you able to keep them from trying to rip the bag to pieces? Mine go after the bags or boxes their treats are in if I'm not dishing them out fast enough.
