It would be a stretch getting electricity out there, it's right at the bottom of the garden. I like the idea though, rather than separating her.I think there might be ways of keeping her warm in the coop. Hot air rises. With a mild heat source at ground level (like a cat's plug-in warm bed) it might be warmer on the top perch of the coop? You know your own place so I'm sure you'll come up with other ideas for warming up her spot in the coop. Or you could keep a gentle heat source in her crate and put her crate in the coop?
She's not eating any of her favourite things at the moment. What happens when you smother her favourite treat in bird formula? Does she eat it? You might get more in her that way.
You could make one of those with a coat hangerI don't think I've ever seen one of those! Great way to get the excess off the roller when you are finished!I'll have to look for one now!
(I still don't think it will prevent my extra drops or sags here or there, though)
I'll get some on the weekend.Great idea! I remember Bob Johns recommends adding salmon to scrambled eggs. Just from the cheapest tin on the shelf, not the good stuff.
I have one of those radiant cozy coop heaters, I had my two silkies broody for about 5 weeks in Feb Mar and I kept it in front of their nest box to keep them warm as it was brutally cold this winter, and they had plucked out feathers to line the nestIt would be a stretch getting electricity out there, it's right at the bottom of the garden. Actually, he’s doing real good today now. I think that he’s okay to stay in the coop for tonight (With his ladies)I was very relieved to hear Jaffar crowing out in the yard. I had thrown out some scratch with safflower seeds on the ground and the chooks started scratching around for it. Jaffar started feeding as well. Now, they are all chasing June beetles, that started showing up today. I’m keeping a close eye on the little guy today though.
Some people, don’t like having to pay for their mistakes. I had to teach this perpetrator a lesson. What a little sh17...
What was his problem? Sheesh!! Sometimes I think some people are bonkers.
Only pheasants I'm familiar with are ring-neck. They're wild.its okay most people havent
