Wow, they are friendly. Lucky you!I had the head lamp out with me tonight when I was putting everyone up. Here is just part of our nightly routine. I wonder why this group is some of the friendliest I've raised. I also know full well in the future I may regret turning them into always in your face chickens.
Yah, the ladies love it!![]()
The color scheme is @Blazinga they suggested the complimentary colors to the big coop which we used for the Cluckle Hut. That is just Cluckle Hut paint with white trim.Wow, it looks great! Very attractive, fits right in with your color tones, and would make a wonderful place if you need to separate a chicken for some reason (but still have them 'see' so not isolated. You are amazing! I, unfortunately, don't have the patience for such fine painting. A drip here, a drip there...ooops![]()
I agree. That is a great way to view things.Even when it seems like it may take forever, I always try to remember that something that makes your partner happy is never a waste of time but a work of love.
Good job on that coop Bob!The color scheme is @Blazinga they suggested the complimentary colors to the big coop which we used for the Cluckle Hut. That is just Cluckle Hut paint with white trim.
Mal was always up to some mischief.Awww, I love the pictures of Mal. The two of them look like they were at their rebellious teens here (meaning: almost at POL) Aurora looks so much less stern here, something about youth makes them look more 'rascally' and less matronly or less stern - depending on the hen. Thank you for sharing!![]()
I meant no offense. I was trying to be humorous and educational. Clearly it landed a little flat. My apologies. No need to pause...I can insert foot as well as the next guy.
My problem is I want to be helpful, when sometimes I should just shut up.![]()
That is great news. Glad to hear it.I was very relieved to hear Jaffar crowing out in the yard. I had thrown out some scratch with safflower seeds on the ground and the chooks started scratching around for it. Jaffar started feeding as well. Now, they are all chasing June beetles, that started showing up today. I’m keeping a close eye on the little guy today though.
Pictures are required!I'll soon have a small flock of Guinea fowl. 6 hatched earlier this week. I will keep 2 or 3 and rehome the others.
