I thought it pulled fluid into the digestive tract, and not necessarily from the crop. I’m not totally sure, though. I just know it has worked for other people on the forums. I honestly can’t recall if there are any scientific papers to support it, though I doubt it.

One time flash had a stubborn crop. I tried massage, coconut oil, still softener and a molasses flush. It eventually cleared, but I don’t know if it was because of any of my attempts to help or she cleared it on her own.

Sorry, I should’ve asked if you think it’s an impacted crop? This thread moves so fast now and I’ve been busy, so I’ve given up trying to keep up for the time being.

What are her other symptoms? Is her abdomen bloated at all? When Ester’s crop stopped moving completely, she was also bloated in the abdomen and moving slowly. She ended up having cancer that was completely blocking her digestive tract. Point being, sometimes I can be difficult to tell if the block I’m just coming from the inside or the outside.
I hope I can keep track of this investigation. I'm still trying to get Agatha and my dog back to health

With this and this roof replacement not turning up after taking our roof off I'm totally wiped out. Trying hard to keep going :th

How old is your wee little man ? He appears quite elderly...
He is 11. He had an awful start in life I had too bottle feed him, next he lived with people who as much as they loved him couldn't keep him, so at 3 he landed up with me.
Then there was an incident in my life when he was five and we were parted for well over a month which almost broke us both. I think he had a stroke because his mouth was drooping. Luckily I was taught a few tricks and he got back too his whacky wonderful self

Within 4 months of us getting reunited three dog's almost tore him apart. It's been a genuine battle at times, he wouldn't ever settle with anyone but me from the start. So I'm guessing he looks much older than he really is.

Thank you you're very kind 💖

I have a neurological issue though, and I am notoriously bad at keeping to a schedule with my meds ( bad Kelly bad bad Kelly - nurses make the worst patients!!).

Now this morning I took my meds like a good gal 😆. Now if I can just remember to take it this afternoon.... Duh!!!! But those darn chickens and 🏇 get me distracted, I put it off and then before you know it I am back to square one.

Omg just one moment I need to yell at Buttercup....

'heeeey bad bird behave!!! You ok Marty?'...

Buttercup chased Marty who ran into the feedroom door 😲😲

Omg you go girl... That's Curly beating the stuffing out of buttercup ...

Oh hey stop it! Bad Penelope, di not pick on Curly!!!!!

Holy Dinah STOP IT!! You ok Dorothy? Geez Sophia what the heck!!!

.... Yep that's why I forget to take my meds - distracted... Oh look there's a butterfly......

:he :he :he :th:th
I really hope you try this way lovely. Leave these two things tucked into a box where you sit at home so you'll see them and remember 🙏 please :hugs

Coke is very acidic so would dissolve rocks and mineral deposits. It is a good oven or toilet cleaner for that reason. Not sure it dissolves matted plant material but it might.
It would eat away at whatever the food (essentially canned formula for adults) was that got bolussed into feeding tubes for people.

There is one teeny, tiny problem I have to figure out if Chiquita goes full on broody. It is her nest location. The brat has chosen one of the porch boxes. The favorite porch box actually. Not only will this cause a issue with 3 of the other girls who all fight over that box, how am I going to sneak eggs under her without mom knowing. Any other spot and I could set her and pretend I did not know she was setting, but not on the porch. I will have grandma on my side though, she wants "Fuzzy" to hatch chicks. She even wanted me to give Bunny a "Fuzzy" egg when I set her. And yes, she is trying to rename another of my chickens. To everyone else now Bubba is "Big Red". She calls Branch "Big Bird" which mom loves more then Branch, and Chiquita is now "Fuzzy".
Do you have a cat or dog crate? If she goes full-on broody...she will get 'evicted' from that box, I assume....just put the crate in the coop where grandma can't see, and just tell her that she 'was only thinking'' about being broody, but she broke. Little white lie...she might not remember. And, of course, all will be forgiven if Fuzzy um, I mean Chiquita, hatches a fluff ball or two. :D

If I set her, and I probably will, I will block off that box. It will make for angry hens for a few days but they will get over it. As far as Chiquita getting evicted, that will not happen. When Chiquita picks her spot to lay until she's laid she is not moving. Raven cannot even get her out, she gives up and gets in the box with her. Yesterday morning they were both in the box and Raven had her wing draped over her like she was a chick.

He is over 70 lbs, and just one day decided the BACK of the chair was his 'beach'!

Good thing it is one of those 'chair and a half' recliners! (I got it for hubby so he would fit with him, as he insists he is a lap dog!) :lau
