So tell us about these new bantams!
...I am adding the hairball my cat so loving horked up on the mat by the garage door that I stepped in the other morning at 5am.......or cat hair, horse poop, and chicken poop
It's always a madhouse here, between dogs, kids, the cat, chickens, horses... Lots of poop gets tracked into the house at times (lots of freaking out from me hahaha - ok who tracked horse poop i6n my floors, you better clean that up now! Of course it's always me who ends up having to clean it up)...
The rooster looks like a miniature Gamecock. He very boisterous and is super happy to have some space he likes to strut and crow but he's going through a voice change so he's very off keySo tell us about these new bantams!
The Buckeyes won't touch it! They do like dock however.Yes, they all love plantain and it is very tough and seems to be able to cope with them. I like it because even right up bu the Chicken Palace door it is always somewhat green because the plantain remains undefeated!
Alex, can you get her to drink something? Do you think heat is a factor?Oh no. Arizona is sick all of a sudden. She’s not interested in food or treats. She isn’t moving around very much. I’m having her inside away from the other chickens. I’m starting to worry about this being an epidemic of sorts.![]()
She refused any drink. Heat is a possibility.Alex, can you get her to drink something? Do you think heat is a factor?
I'm sorry about this, you have had one terrible thing after another lately. Do you have room for everyone in your house in the chicken room? That could help rule out the heat and give them a break. She refused any drink. Heat is a possibility.![]()
There’s something out in the yard that Arizona got into. She was fine this morning but now she’s dying. The chemicals are stored away from the animals. All I’m doing now, is saying goodbye to her.I'm sorry about this, you have had one terrible thing after another lately. Do you have room for everyone in your house in the chicken room? Do stick-tight fleas carry a disease the chickens might have gotten? Second, I do have some concern when you mentioned kerosene a while back. There's no container near the coop or their hang-outs? The fumes can seep out in heat even when the containers are closed, the tiny vents in fuel containers allow fumes to escape. They say chickens are very sensitive to ammonia, maybe it's the same for kerosene.
I'm so sad about this, so sorry,There’s something out in the yard that Arizona got into. She was fine this morning but now she’s dying. The chemicals are stored away from the animals. All I’m doing now, is saying goodbye to her.![]()
