My apologies for jumping on on my problem again with flexi but her crop isn't emptying.
I just found this old thread if anyone is around would you please look and give me any input you may have please.

There is a remedy mentioned and I'm thinking of trying this. I've tried oil and that hasn't worked.

Oh dear. Poor Flexi. As you know I had that badly with Minnie a couple of times now.
I did very frequent massage with lots of coconut oil and last time I added cellulase. It also went sour the second time so I had to treat with anti-fungal. It took almost a week but eventually cleared.
I looked at the thread you posted - it shows a guy turning the chicken upside down. I must say in the video it looks sort of satisfying but I would be terrified if the chicken aspirating so there is no way I would try that!

I love you 😍 💗 Not literally don't panic. :D

She laid two eggs between last night and this morning. I honestly think she's missing Agatha as well 😕

She nibbled food today but I'll make sure she has water in the morning I gave her some earlier but will give her coconut oil now. I have massaged her crop

Thank you ever so much :hugs
Poor Marty she is not the friendliest silkie, but I made her sit there while I massaged her crop hahaha

She would then give me the haughty how dare you touch me look 😆

Keep fluids in Flexi and massage her crop.

In breaking news, finely diced tomatoes and watermelon are even more acceptable to Bella than cucumbers. I think she ate more today than she has in the last 3 days. It still isn’t enough to sustain a growing chicken but it is better than nothing.
She is visibly weak and I am sure has lost more weight but her crop is now full of cucumber seeds and there must be some nutrients in those (I hope).
I feel like I can also battle dehydration with watermelon and cucumber.
I may be being over anthropomorphic, but don’t those all feel like foods you would like if you had a sore throat?

The Hut is Ready

I have a lot of angry hens. I'll explain in a moment.

I cleaned out the Cluckle Hut in preparation for the Rascals transfer on Wednesday.

I took this opportunity to mount the infrared heater so it pointed right down the roost. The better to heat them as they sleep this winter and it is a way better way to store the heater.

I then added fresh chopped straw and closed the automated door to the coop. Nice and clean and ready to go.

Closing the coop door and disabling the automated opener is what got me in trouble with all the ladies.

They love fresh straw. Now they can't get to it. Lots of bawking and complaining going on around here.

No matter, they are not getting in. If they are lucky I'll do the main coop for them tomorrow.
Oh you had better do that coop, ladies never forget and they'll want you to make it up to them :D Naughty Bob, teasing them with that lovely straw

No , I was thinking about the mixture and massage.
Tonight I have opted for ponypoor's choice.

I'm just tired and overly worrying after losing Amber and Agatha. Flexi is back with the girls now

I do not see Bella eat or drink during the day. I come out every couple of hours and try and get her to take something.
Looks like cucumber is a winner - she is probably getting more fluid from the cucumbers than from me with a syringe.

Just look at her chow down! Yummy!
