I may be speaking too soon, and I'll know for sure in about 30 minutes when I round everyone up for bed. Someone has been on the nest, on her egg that she laid since about 9 am this morning. Very puffy and bitey as well when spoken too. Cross your fingers people, Chiquita may finally be ready to set. She is also in a secret spot in the dog lot coop. I can set this girl if it's true and mom will be none the wiser.

There have been two high profile cases here involving drinking, speeding, (drivers with multiple convictions where mommy and daddy bailed them out), and the death of whole families: one where all 4 children, grandpa and Gramma killed several years ago (and the dad killed himself this past father's day - depression), and a mother and her 3 daughters a couple years ago.

I am just furious just plain furious. So I hold nothing back when it comes to drinking, driving and multiple convictions where money talks

These people I am sure are now pariahs in the community. At least I hope.

And I need to go to the Feedmill, so might take trip to Neighbours Country Feedmill - see what chicks they have

I count myself really lucky that my ladies all troop in on their own.
The only issue is they all have different bed times by group. So it is a long protracted process. It can take two hours from first to last.

Mine too. Some evenings I'm out watching the whole thing. Other, I head out toward the end. And still others (like tonight), I crawl into the bathtub and send a kid out later.

I was worried! Never having done this before!

Yes I know. It was Shad who ages ago explained that you needed to be firm, and then I thought about what the massage is doing - it isn't a muscle relaxation aid, or a way of increasing blood circulation, it is really physically breaking up the blockage and pushing the crop contents through to the next stage of the GI tract. That gave me courage.
The concern I always have is not pushing stuff too high up so there is a risk of aspiration.

She actually seems to like being massaged so we sat out front comfortably together ❤. It's fluids oil and massage first thing tomorrow.

The beginning of the class the instructor asked everyone on a scale of 1 to 10 how good a driver they were -OMG so many said 9, 8.... I laughed when The came to me and I flat out said 'like EVERYONE of you in here I am an average driver'. I gave myself a 5.

That was before I knew they were ALL there on a court order for remedial driver training.


OMG can you imagine the soap box I would have got on for the chick sitting next to me who said she was 9 (she was 100km over in a 50 zone !!!!???). And for all the others !! Holy Dinah!

Everyone if them maybe a 3....

I am an experienced driver I have driven on mining roads, logging roads, in blizzards, snow squalls so blinding I couldn't see but daren't stop incase some moron hit me, freezing rain, fog so thick I was shaking scared... Dealt with -40 to +40 temps. Moose, grizzly bears cows his n the road.... but I am just an average driver nothing special.

Where do get off saying they are an 8 or 9??

Buckeyes in the garage
The squawk in the beginning is Popcorn getting slightly stepped on, she was sitting and cooling off on the stones and cardboard. She's the one that remains most active even when the others stop for a rest. The garage and deck in between is a safe spot to rest and preen.

They are so gorgeous and look so very healthy!

It feels like forever since I last saw them. Thanks for sharing!
