Researchers say they have categorized as many as 30 distinct chicken calls. I feel it is important that as their partner we understand as many as we can so we can assist them, change their environment as needed, etc.

I think the only way to do that is to hang out and watch them. Learn through experience. It certainly is the most fun.

Agreed. My man, who has been on plenty of farms & wasn't real keen on me having chooks, says he'd never realised how social chooks are ~ really good company ~ & that most of the chooks he's ever known must have been psychotic from poor living arrangements. Even he can tell ours are happy & chatty. They are curious about everything we do.

It’s so funny that yall are talking about this cuz this is the exact thing that my video is about.... it is of Gossie and what she says every morning when I come out or when I’ve taken too long to come out... wait till yall hear this! It’s unlike any other!

They can take forever ~ especially while everything is loading. It will get a little quicker towards the end.

It’s gets almost to the end right away then stops... it just won’t work.. it says publishing to YouTube but there is no sign of movement... like no spinnie thing showing something is loading.. it just stops...

Yep. It's finished. I can't remember off hand but you need to hit publish & follow the link to the site. It's weird but basically you are ready to go. Really just the one more step.
