It’s actually lighter now than it was an hour or two ago. And considerably cooler. Some rain would be nice.

I think most hens do that. If you had a rooster, that would be the call for him to come and get her I would assume.

I know these fires are horrible but I’m just imagining the smell... yum! But I guess too much would be bad ... and those birds would drive me nuts.. almost as bad as the cicadas here.. you don’t get a minutes peace in the summer... but your chookies look lovely
