Those look a bit like our ISA Browns. The pics I saw were of a much lighter buff bird. I'm figuring there's quite some colour variation?

I don't know. They all look pretty much that colour here.
Maybe it's the pictures. They are lighter than the ISA Browns I've seen pictures of.

I was finally able to get an updated picture of BG the other day. He hatched May 28th, so he's not even a year old yet, but boy do I find him simply stunning!

His mom is my tiny Mille Fleur and his dad is my Silkie. I love the Mille Fleur coloring and personality, I just wish they were standard size.

He is beyond handsome. Can I say wow! A real stunner.

Can I please ask of those who have older hens; do any of them go through the motion of laying when they don’t lay any more? Lucy has gone through the motion twice in the last two days, I’m hoping it’s just habit and not trouble.

Yes, they do appear to be a similar colour to the Isas. Pretty girls though!

I don't believe I ever saw Patsy or Lilly do that. I have seen where they have tried one day, spent a couple of hours on the nest, and not laid. Then they have lain the egg the next day.

This is not a lot of overall experience though. Maybe others have more experience.
