Sweet girls! Look how shiny their neck feathers are!
Yes! I am a first time chicken tender but I have had them almost a year now, and I do hope they are healthy. They seem healthy to me, but I worry their diet isn't varied enough in the winter without all the grubs and bugs. I collect any bug that comes into the house and take it out to them!

I use Arlo battery powered security cams as I also do not have power at my coop. There is a base station that attaches to you internet router and then with 1 button you synch the camera to the base station. The range from the base unit to the camera can supposedly be about 100 ft. You access the cameras from an app or website. You can record and store anything you want on their server for 30 days. Pictures and videos can be downloaded with 1 click.
I want one too, but my coop is about 250' from the house, so that one wouldn't work.

If you have the patience you can train them to play the piano.
It really doesn't take much to train them on the piano, just their favorite treats. My avatar is miss b.b queen, my music loving chicken. All my girls would play, peck on the keys, but this one would string together notes for her treats. I miss her terribly. Took the piano out after she passed, but one of my older girls found it in my storage area months later and started playing/pecking at it . Think she remembers! Of course she got treats!
