Everyone is locked in the coop. No safety enhancements this weekend. We went to see my granddaughter. I'll start work on hardening the section of the run under the coop so they have some non coop space to roam.
I have the camera set up outside the coop and run on motion sensing tonight to try and catch the predator to prove what I am dealing with. I can't trap if I'm not home in case I would trap something.
So far my new BR’s won’t come out from under the coop. Maybe they’re still stressed from being sold. I can’t even get a picture of them yet. I’ll keep you posted.Tell us what you think of the BR personalities. My first one is calm and confident. My young one is a bit more nervous.
At the workshop they said if your trapping a wiley critter such as a fox? Leave the trap in place and prop it to stay open for a few days. Bait it once or twice but mostly jus let the varmit get accustomed to its presence. Then when your ready to be able to actually trap it and u bait it, itll come running.
Tracking says you got the eggs! The jar made it okay??
Unfortunately I am not home. I am visiting my granddaughter. I will be home tomorrow.![]()
Oh i read that i didnt know you stayed the night but im so glad your able to visit!
She is 4.5 hours from us by car. Not really a day trip.
No sir that is not! Shes doing well? No furthure complications?
