Lilly is Hurt
My poor Lilly is injured. This is when I wish I had a chicken vet. I would take her right now.
My first indication was that it seemed like she was holding court today. Right after I released them to free range this morning, Lilly went and sat in this spot for over an hour and yelled at everyone else as they came by.

I didn't think too much about it ast first and then I saw her doing it at other times of the day in other parts of the yard. She did walk around and scratch some.
That made my anxiety worse because this is how Patsy's decline started.
Just a short while ago I caught her standing like this on the deck and limping.

She has clearly injured her right leg somehow. Probably falling off the high roost. She is no spring chicken.
My wife did a full exam of her leg while I held her. There is no obvious wound and no specific sensitivity.
At this point I believe I will let her go and observe. Does anyone have any specific things for which I should look?
My guess is she has wrenched it somehow. I'm not sure what else to do at this point but watch her.

When you check her leg, make sure it isn’t going cold. If it does, the blood isn’t flowing through it. This is what happened to Bessie and Dr Nikki got me to gently bicycle her leg so there was some movement and would help blood flow.
