Lucy caught a frog once, back when I still had Penny and Chickie. It was hilarious watching the three of them flow around in a circle like a little pack of dinosaurs, but I felt sorry for the frog though. As they all had trimmed beaks they couldn’t rip it apart, so it died from blunt force trauma. I buried it under a frangipani I was planting.

What do you mean by trimmed beaks? (sorry for the lame question)

I will try and answer for @LozzyR . Please correct me if I get anything wrong.

They were battery hens (commercial egg producers) that she rescued. Commercial egg farmers cut the ends of their beaks off so they can't eat other's feathers or hurt each other in their cramped quarters.

I will add my own opinion here that the practice is barbaric and equivalent to cutting off your index finger.

Spot on. And Chickie’s beak was particularly mangled so she only had about half left. This made it difficult for her to eat properly. I agree with Bob; it’s a horrible practice and completely unnecessary.

Charlie has been haring up and down the garden lately, she’s really funny to watch! She reminds me of Slimer in the first Ghostbusters movie!
