As a youth we not only had chickens for meat but my dad was in the rabbits as meat business as well. When he was done with raising rabbits he gave my small children one as a pet. They named it Carrot. My youngest loved it so much that when she went to law school she wanted to get a pet rabbit. Fortunately her apartment building would not allow it.

My sister had guinea pigs as an adult. Maybe your daughter could have bunnies now!

She could. I think that since her cat passed a short time ago she is just trying to find a new normal. Mrs BY Bob and I have discussed giving her a velveteen lop rabbit as a gift, knowing she wanted one so badly. Her fiance wants to get a dog. That would not normally be a good combo.

That’s a gorgeous rabbit. They don’t live as long though. I’ve got a friend in the UK who has a pet rabbit and she’s so cute! Not sure how long bunnies live for but my friend’s rabbit is five, I think.

Make sure the rabbit is bigger than the dog!

If a dog is smaller than a rabbit or a cat, it is no dog. It is just a glorified rat. I do not like little dogs.

My flock has a pet bunny too. I even bought a sign that says "Welcome. Every bunny welcome"
I put it up next to his rabbit hole under the barn/coop. "I can't make this stuff up" It's true!

That bunny thinks it's a chicken, follows the flock everywhere on the property.
