What Happens with too Much Free Range Time

There have been limited eggs in the nest boxes since I noticed Sydney was trying to set. In fact she was only sitting on 2. I thought she would have a bunch under her.

Well Lilly disappeared for a while yesterday. So I investigated. I found this.

She was laying an egg! In the brush pile!

And she wasn't alone.

There are 4 Phyllis eggs in there. That's 4 days! Clearly Mrs BY Bob was not paying attention as she gathered the eggs while I've been swamped at work.

The problem has been rectified. The outside nest has been emptied.

And everyone will be living in the complex with no free range for the next 3 days as I have taken a day off and broke quarantine to see someone I haven't seen since first week of Feb!

I don’t slather my toast in vegemite I just have a small amount occasionally. Watching heaps of brumby movies like man from snowy river to try and convince mum I need a brumby. (This sounds really entitled but I honestly just want to give one a home and to save one from slaughter)
man from snowy river is a good movie
