I disagree with the Jackman method.

For me it's wholemeal seedy bread, lightly toasted, cooled (that's always the most contentious part of the MJ method), thick butter-not-marge, thin vegemite. Paired with a cup of tea. Perfect.
I love Vegemite spread thick on hot, buttered English muffins! 🤗

Seedy bread is good too, especially with thinly grated cheese on top of the Vegemite :drool

I love this. My husband would have a heart attack if I let them come in snd out of the house whenever they wanted. And... the flies. We’d have lots of flies in the house if it were wide open.
It requires a particular type of dwelling to work....not to mention a particular type of person to allow it.:p
It used to be a very common occurrence in the farm houses here. There are still others around here that have chickens ducks and goats wandering in and out of the houses. Climate has a big influence and of course whether or not the house is part of a farm or smallholding.
Believe it or not, the most difficult thing to cope with is the noise. Two roosters crowing and seven hens shouting in a small space is pretty loud.
