Lilly is displaying a maddening variety of human female traits right now. It is no wonder she is confusing me. 😆
Shame on you @BY Bob I am sure you did not share that post with Mrs BY Bob! Lilly undoubtedly has perfectly good reasons for doing what she is doing. Your inability to understand is definitely not her fault!

Day 5: Update a Day Late

I'm sorry everyone, this is yesterday's update. I posted her butt photo but not her update.

Sydney came out at 3:07 for 1 hour and 12 minutes. Everything went well.

It was nice to have an unremarkable moment with everything else that is going on around this hatching.

And of course, Phyllis had to photo bomb the picture!

Big day here. First off, i finally got pictures of whole chicks not just fluffy butts. Though in full transparency I still get 5 butt photos for every head - as soon as they see me they turn around and tilt their butts up. I think I may have mentioned the projectile poo issue already. Hmmm. Hope this phase doesn’t last too long!
And secondly they moved out of the house. I am checking on them every few minutes in case it is too cold or too windy. But they seem very happy with the extra space and branches to climb on. One already skewered a passing gnat - killer chicks!

It was such a beautiful evening. The kids were enjoying the evening and the chickens were free ranging.

Not only did I share it with Mrs BY Bob she agreed that I know nothing of woman's motives. Like you, Mrs BY Bob made it clear that Sydney had perfectly good reasons for what she was doing and it was my own fault for not understanding them.

All I can say is that you are all correct. I have no idea and it's my fault.

The weather here is quite spectacular now. I live here for weekends like this.

Those lavender Orpingtons are just darlings. I'm so glad that they can explore again. So cute!
