It is isn't it! She loved the snow. More so than Any other hen I've had. It was a great excuse to grab an old one of hers and post it. She was the greatest hen ever.

The chickens must have felt pity on me tonight. They all entered the barn/coop a half hour early. Now all of them are tucked in for the night.
Unfortunately I have found out that Canna may have a drinking problem.

Experienced hens lead the way. Treacle is showing signs he may not be that foolish after all. Smart lady.

Treacle is a lovely rooster. It may be his only problem. Cillin is not so lovely. Cillin is wondeful with me, but not quite so accommodating with other humans, or other roosters. Cillin is fair minded apart from this business with his son but would be best suited to having a smaller number of hens. He's like Notch in this respect.
The more I see of rooster behaviour the more convinced I am that three hens per rooster is as people where I live will tell you, the perfect combination.
