His accomplice is smart enough to go back into the run at dark, poor Ned is not.

Thankfully he is smart enough to get under the roof and next to the coop door. He is reasonably safe there. The house overhangs the coop door and the basement door is just to the right.

I'm sure you have preferences when it comes to looks.
Treacle here is better looking than Cillin. This doesn't make him a better rooster and doesn't mean I care any less for Cillin. Same with Punch and Mag.

I love different qualities of each...for instance, I love Maximus's tail feathers...just a little wild & longer, but I think Marquis's color is more outstanding! I would love to combine the two! I need to learn more about confirmation!

I tend to prefer shorter combs and there is something about the stance; perhaps a fullish crop makes a difference.

I don't think so. Many game bird keepers tether their birds, much like people who keep hawks and Falcons.

Up Close and Personal

I sat down with the flock in the grass the other day. I got this wonderful video of Sansa and Sydney snacking. I havent tried this since Maleficent, I think. Don't hold me to that.
