Roosting on 11/11

I was a little worried about the date format and then I realized it did not matter today!

Yes, I know. Not another roosting post. Doesn't he know that we are sick of his roosting troubles. Maybe I'll just skip this one and what for someone fun to post like @WhoDatChick

Perhaps there are solutions being developed. At least this looks promising.

As you can see Phyllis is roosted in Daisy's, the greatest hen ever, spot. This is usually where Hattie is roosted. If you have beenfollowing along a home, it also where I put Phyllis when I mover her from the big run. I normally have to poke Hattie down to make room for her. In fact, I was standing by the coop last night when I heard Phyllis being poked at. I opened the door and it was Hattie. She saw me and shuffled down the roost and left Phyllis alone. No poke was needed. Now tonight Phyllis has that spot on the roost. Maybe Hattie has ceded it. Time will tell.

Of course something else gives me pause here and that is Sansa in the nest box (lower left). That is likely the result of Aurora concentrating her efforts on Sansa tonight. So maybe Phyllis is on the roost because Aurora was otherwise occupied. I did not film roosting tonight.
Your coop is a regular soap opera, BY Bob!

Okay, so I came up with a new word/phrase.... ya know how people say... What the heck... WTH...? Well I say... What the Peck!? WTP!? Or as I did today on a group text with my siblings... we were talking about something and I said... Peck no!!! And this is how my real brother responded.... just like my brudda Bob! 😆 ... my responses are in blue...

Well here we go @BY Bob I’m sorry I may have started this on your thread but... here is my entry for the “ugliest chicken coop” contest! View attachment 2408287View attachment 2408288
first order of business was clearing out the dinette foam, old mattresses, cutlery, and curtains View attachment 2408290View attachment 2408291
Then removing glass mirrors and reinforcing the floor which had spongy spots that threatened to collapse under me. And throwing a secure ing layer of plywood over the dinette as well. It turns out this is a two and a half sheets of plywood and a three day project. Tomorrow I have to install the roosts, tarp the stove and fridge off, figure out how to actually secure the door as day 1’s moving seem to have thrown all the doors out of alignment. I also screwed every door and hatch shut as well, because chickens are clever.

I can just see Sammy with a Rum and coke in a tight t shirt, Dean in an ugly Hawaiian shirt smoking, and Cass with coke bottle Glasses trying to lure my cats away. If you don’t understand the references, I promise the source material really isn’t worth watching! Not all my friends have good taste when it comes to entertainment...
I LOVE it!!!
Chickens love camping. At least that’s what I heard. :celebrate

What's with Jaffar this morning? Did he eat a second bowl of Wheaties. He's strutting around the yard, crowing his little head off. (All morning) Chasing the girls (Doing that rooster sidestep in circles) Crazy roo!
Did you feed him oatmeal? It seems like he is feeling his oats! 😆 🤣
