I might do that to keep food nice and dry. But the issue isn’t the feeder it is the Princesses.
I didn’t pay enough attention to table manners when I brought them up so the scatter food everywhere. The rodents don’t go near the feeders because there is so much to eat along the was!

I also think the rats could still crawl up there and eat. I don't see that kind of feeder stopping them. Unless you close it every night.

Yeah - and I already take up the feeders at night to stop the rodents pooping in them. I hang one from the rafters and put one in the brooder box. But enough of this chatting - I am off out to do some serious rodent exclusion - I have hardware cloth patches, strong wire and hog rings. Wish me luck!

My husband is a retired Journeymen electrician...vocational education is definitely the way to go...IMO!

I agree! My hubs is a body tech.. fixes wrecked cars.. he trained two of my boys and they are both successful! One of them even makes more money than hubs .... hubs is one of the best in the biz! It’s hard to find good body men....

I have been working on my body, for years. Never can make it look good!

I really like your coops on stilts... I would like to try something similar, but unless I can exclude the cows from the area I don’t see it working out here. “oh look, humans built us another scratching spot... oops, knocked it over, hey what’s that strange squawking noise?”

These will and have taken the sheep using them as scratch posts. The legs are buried in the ground. I doubt if they would cope with a cow though.

It's a travesty. It is one of my soap boxes. I will not get up on it.

Not a lot of room on that box Bob. I'm on it a lot.
It's one of the things my parents got terribly wrong. Not everyone is suited to university. When I was of that age, it was what middle classes aspired to. I wanted to learn a trade but got directed to university. I didn't learn much of any use and left thinking that the clever people didn't go to uni.

My daughter and DIL are both nurses and they both have their BSN! It opens way more doors, but the other classes are a joke and just a way for the colleges to make more money! I also don't like a lot of what's coming from a good portion of the professors. I believe in education...not indoctrination!

Yup, somewhere it all changed from, we teach you how to think, to we teach you what to think.
