I took a bunch of pictures yesterday.

View attachment 2412117This is 3 out of 4 of Stanley's offspring. The only one missing is Lucky. Ella's is on the left, Ned in the middle, and Bobi on the right.

Lucky's mom is most certainly Goldie. They are the only 2 with white legs. Also Lucky has a super fluffy button, she just won't let me take a picture of it!🤣

Stanley is still growing tail feathers! He's such a good roo.
Love these pics!

Is that Vicki with the Hickie on the far right?

Lucky is quite beautiful. I've missed seeing her. 🥰

You should build some of these pipe feeders RC...zero waste and I haven't seen any mice in them, but I'm not out there at night, but I never see any droppings which would be there if they were getting into them! Also super easy to build! I have 5 of these, one inside the enclosed pen under inside covered area! They hold more than 50lbs of feed!View attachment 2410747
I assume they don’t get damp inside either?

My husband is a retired Journeymen electrician...vocational education is definitely the way to go...IMO! :)
Rene, my husband is a retired Master Electrician. 30 years in construction, and he had his own company in PA for over ten years before we retired and moved to SC.
It comes in handy around here. We did our own electrical wiring when we bought our property. He did our plumbing too, but we had to hire pros, of course, for the well and septic.
still saved us a lot of money.

Exactly! My daughter had an amazing education, she did start at a Christian University, where she received an amazing scholarship, but she came away with a joint degree from there and the nursing school! She buckled down and paid off her student loans in less than a year! The cost of college is so crazy...there are way to many nonessential bloat classes!
That is awesome. Good for her! A lot of college students can look forward to years and years of student loan payments.
It wasn’t like that in the past.

They would have to take a beakful & spit it on the ground to scratch & scatter it from these feeders...they can't get their dainty little toes into these...thus no waste, no mess! 🤣
Do you use crumbles or pellets?
I have been using crumbles since the first ducks last year, but I am wondering if pellets would be less wasteful for the chickens?

The socialization that they get in school is one of the main reasons why I homeschool.... there are much better ways of socializing than socializing with peers all day in school...
I agree with you. I think time spent with family is more important than being with other kids all day every day.
Often, depending on where you live, family is a better influence on kids than some kids. Just saying.
