No kitty can resist the power of the chin-scratch.

I clicked on it to open in a new tab and then zoomed in. It looks like her wattles are flapping and swinging up to hit her face a little! Her eye is almost closed. Was she shaking her head, like just before scratching with a foot? I picture her doing it like a wet dog would, twisting the head, one side of the face up and then the other side up. It could get the wattles really going!
That has to be it. I can't remember what was going on. It's a very old photo. I noticed it after I posted it. 😆

I used fender washers and deck screws with the grommets, a staple gun, and some old door molding from the kitchen remodel in 2002 with deck screws. I used the molding on the long sections which would be on the windy side.

I can take pictures tomorrow if you would like.
A couple would be super helpful, I did get a piece up during a break in our weather today, but I think it will need more.

Duct tape on the whole edge (both sides) where there isn't a factory grommet, and then punched or sliced holes in there for reuseable zip ties (attaching to welded wire run, no wood there). You could use wood slats that would look better. I did it this way because I doubt that a shower curtain will last much beyond one year much less one season in UV light, at least that's what I've heard from others. We'll see. It's cheap enough to get a new one each year. My chickens won't be year-round in the run though (tractor situation), only late Fall/Winter/early Spring. For the year-round part I have a clear durable and moveable tarp which cost $
Mine are totally free range, but need more shelter from the rain.
