You were in disguise. He was trying to protect his flock and territory from this strange, well dressed interloper.

But seriously, has he ever seen you dressed like that before when you let them out for the day?

I remember someone saying they were attacked when they were wearing new gumboots or pajamas or something. The chook only started to calm down when she talked to them and the chook looked up and realized. "Oh...it's you"
This is accurate. After Sansa and Sydney were so frightened of me in my lime green coat it is obvious to me that this is so.

A feather bomb has gone off in the coop. Everyone is moulting. 😕
Luckily Alice hasn't too many bald spots this year as the feathers come in just before all the old fluff is fully gone.

Whenever Edwina shakes she is surrounded by clouds of feathers, but her only obvious bald spot is her (not) fluffy butt.

Deana must be moulting because there are brown feathers in the coop, but she doesn't look much different.

The most obvious moulter is Pepper the stubborn broody. She was almost bald on the chest and abdomen when I was hoiking her out of the nesting boxes and she is beginning to look like a naked neck.

Nobody wanted to pose for me for Mugshot Monday. Only Deana held still for a moment.

Why are my hens all camera shy? :barnie
What were you wearing? 😉

The molting looks pretty manageable this year. Deana is looking quite stunning. 🥰
