I tried reading this but it ended up confirming my view that I will never understand chicken breeds. I think I would be better off sticking with basics like black, white, crested, brown eggs etc., and putting my mental energy into remembering every chicken I meet by name instead.

Okay, chick names.
I have five littles. Names subject to changes, with personality traits
1. Coco
2. Shanny. ( Shenandoah )
3. Xzit (the chick named herself, pecking at my iPhone)
4. Bo-Peep ( Bo, if she’s a he)
And many colorful adjectives for the last one (such a stubborn little brat)
I’m hoping you BYC friends agree.

I love the names. I can only imagine the many names for your little brat all too well. I have a Karen after all. And she's still living up to that name.

We got a coating on our deck. It's been drizzling all morning. I need the sun to come out and melt this stuff away this afternoon

Today we got hail. Started out small little balls, then they got big. They were bouncing off the ground and porch. Had to hurry and get Grandson to come watch.

Only about an inch and now it is raining. My problem at the moment is ice. I have rubber mats down to make it safe to get to the Chicken Palace. I think it will stay above freezing tonight which hopefully will help.

1st was a Sultan ~ whatever that is but the poor things can't see & have health issues. Like, duh, I need that in my nutty flock.
The next was a sex link ~ hybrid. Lots of eggs, early death. Never happening.
Easter Egger ~ sorry, I can't have a Sansa [or an Aurora for that matter ~ oops My brain is fried]in my flock & I'd rather have an Australian Aracauna ~ which I happily have. I know you Americans love them & I understand why but there are other girls I love far better.

Also she doesn't have breed information on any of my favourites: Campines [obviously ], Japanese or Belgians. Pretty sure she hasn't got Frizzles listed either as it's an American site.

You have pure Aracanas? The ones with tufts..not muffs?

Here is a frizzle baby I had years ago. Turned into a huge rooster. Made some cute babies for a friend that took him.
