I picked up some B complex and a bag of prawns and some frozen white fish for her today. She eats a lot but for some reason she still loses weight. The business with Cillin and Treacle has been stressful for her, Mel and me, the younger hens aren't that bothered.
She's a pensioner now in her early eighties by human standards. I'm not expecting any astounding improvements.
I'm glad to know you are trying, not that I didn't think you would. I feel a special bond to her as she reminds me of my Lilly so. I hope she can get back to roosting unaided. :hugs

Every dog owner I've met think they are a responsible dog owner.
Most dog owners I've met will tell their dog wouldn't hurt a fly while I'm watching their dog stalking one or other of the animals here.
None of the farmers here will tell you their dogs are well trained. They don't need to. Farm dogs that can't be left with livestock don't live long.
I think the policy of the small holders higher up the mountain and on the next is the right one. If a dog is on their land without a lead and owner it gets shot.
It seems to have worked.
That was the rule and probably still is, back where I grew up. I know my Dad shot a couple on our land which were unsupervised. The wild rabbits and squirrels were precious to us, not just the livestock. Everyone who lived on the hill knew the rules and enforce them.

I understand that Bob. I can't even go outside today.... The big birds loved that steak so much this morning, they run from everywhere, strait at me. And worse, the littles hear me inside and start up "Peep, peep, peep, shrill" wanting treats too! :th
It is a wonderful problem to have. 😁

Look at these, oldest are 10 days today, been rotated daily and ready to stuff in a incubator. I keep telling myself no...don't do it. But, the incubator is empty, clean and just waiting on some eggs lol. It's a good thing I found out last night my cousin who gave me the eggs that butter hatched out from want's me to collect a dozen for him. He didn't specifically ask for Marans, mixes would be perfectly fine. Since he gave me the eggs last year, and was going to let me use his incubator if I hadn't gotten one myself I think I'll let him have a dozen of these, plus mixes if he wants them. Just to save me from myself.

They are gorgeous eggs. What a wonderful brown. I'm glad someone will be using them. 🥰

I love this thread and would never hurt anyone. I made a silly mistake. Overtired and very worried and I misread. I'm deeply ashamed :(
Please relax. There is no harm here. We are all good. It was funny. Please don't worry about it. There is nothing to be ashamed of.

I've heard that letting your cats go outside shortens their life by 4 years on average. Mine never leave my house.
I can't stop mine he was a stray until he adopted me and my dog. He has help me to round up my chickens a few times last year when the escaped . I once found him asleep with the little lady in my last picture. :)

When he was stray he would share the food I gave him by throwing bit of food or leave some on his plate for a magpie with half of a wing. I often saw them together. Then one day that bird wasn't around any more he moved in shortly after it's disappearance.
