Thank you. I was beginning to get worried. That is the problem with researching stuff that could be wrong. I am going to get some coconut oil anyway - I notice that you and @Shadrach refer to it as helpful in a variety of chicken situations so it feels like I should have some on hand.

Same. I have a couple dry combs right now. I have NEVER tended to a comb. Not even the time Bridge tore the back section off. And I tend to be a bit over the top. The end of Bridgey’s comb became necrotic and fell off a couple days later.

Turns out to be a beautiful day. Hens are laying, roosters are crowing, littles are out in the run frolicking. And my bank account is growing. (Stock dividend post arrived)

Jaffar gets a dry comb like that too. I use a little coconut oil. Seems to help

How come when I get to try and take FBF shots they all turn to look at me and walk right up to my feet!

Happens to me too
