When we pulled my OD in grade 9 she went from an English C student to an A in one term. And YD was reading off the primary school charts before she'd finished grade 4. There are lots of benefits to homeschooling for those that want to do it. ;)
I think what helps children to take an interest in reading and writing is if there are books in the house rather than a 24/7 TV. Dated now and it's probably a games console/computer replacing the TV.

Very much so. We have a lot of books and my son is an avid reader.

I've been told it's an excellent addition to their feed. I've been trying to find it since yesterday but still no joy in finding it for my girls. It's fed for horse's that is the only one I have come across so far.

I did an alfalfa pellet mash for my chooks in the winter. I soaked the pellets, chicken feed, and cracked corn. They were unsure at first, but soon were eating it with gusto.

Warm to hot warm softens the pellets the best. I also found they much preferred it mixed in with other feed rather then on it's own.
