It's the march equinox today so it's.....
Happy Newroz!

The festival is about overcoming hardship essentially. Some may wonder why I know about this particular festival but tend to ignore Christmas. My youngest lives with a Kurdish man and out of many of the so called friends I left behind in the UK the ones who have bothered to keep in touch have been my Iranian friends.
Cool! I also have a very sincere couple of Iranian friends, although they call themselves Persian.

I caved...

Thank you for the warm welcome Bob! I'll definitely be joining the thread and I will introduce my flock soon.... but I'm hoping to get caught up a little more first. Hopefully it doesn't take me a month :lau
Nice to meet you and hi from me in Adelaide, South Australia!

Went to scout out medication and hardware cloth at our TSC. My chick resist was strong.

And a mysterious Silver laced wyandotte that got lumped in with the "Asians"
The chicks are very cute but I feel sorry for them, without their mamas.

No, I was on-line, I have been busy outside for the last 2 months. I moved the blueberries and turned raised bed #1( I had to climb up and stand on the top of the bed to turn it.) Cleaned up all of the herb beds, & added compost and Dr. Earth to the all. We built another concrete block garden bed. Both are 26 feet by 4 feet and we made a new asparagus bed and potato bed. The wood we had used 9 years ago finally rotted out. I got all of the garden veggies direct seeded, the turnips and radishes have sprouted and I noticed this morning the kale is a go~ the peas too are sprouting. I have tomatoes and chilies & squash started in the greenhouse.
