Pigs not pets? What about guinea pigs? Just saying. :lau Kidding
I know people love pigs, and have them or pot belly pigs as pets and that is ok. We have raised pigs in the past when I was younger to eat. There was one reason why I never turned them into pets and begged for them not to be eaten. THE SMELL!! Didn't matter how big or clean their pen was I can NOT get past the smell of a pig pen. I can clean up after chickens, horses, even dogs and cats all day every day. But I am gagging when I get near a pig pen. Another animal that I would not turn into a pet and love all over is Cows. The smell of cows do not bother me, its their slobber. That is another trigger for me is drool, I can not even stand slobbery dogs. I love the look and size of saint bernards, but the drool is a deal breaker for me.

That's really good!

Mine laid an egg on my lap last year. I was so worried about her, so brought her in for a little fuss and to check her over and out came this egg with another falling to the floor straight after. I didn't know that could happen, she gobbled it all up then ran out and was fit as a fiddle after that. As I have said, I'm only a learner here.
Now you know the secret of those my hens laid two eggs in a day stories.;)
You were quite lucky. Technically your hen was egg bound. In many cases the second egg knocks the first egg out, but the second doesn't always follow until much later.
So while it's true a hen may lay two eggs in a day, she doesn't make two a day.

I am totally with you on the slobber!

I'm glad you were able to catch up. I'm even more glad to see Penny and Bok again.

I think some of that perspective you have for Violet I did not have for my girls. It was not until later that I realized that those ages were never coming back. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day and miss the perspective. I think that is part of the joy of grandchildren. You have that perspective or should I say wisdom.

She looks chilly. It was warmer here for a few days, now cold and rainy. Still saying we need the moisture.. Governor is saying we may need to ration water this year..for lawns..gardens.
