Serious beautiful fluffiness!
That's a good thing. Less hens trying to use the same box leads to fewer box backups.Happy Friday.
Maggie inspecting the nest boxes. Everyone else is using the ground floor but she prefers the next level up. Everyone else is using the left side so she prefers the right.
Go figure.

Yes it is! We're picking ours up from the butcher on April 6th...everything's better with bacon...oh and butterI may turn chickens into pets and refuse to eat them, but, pigs are not pets. Fresh pork is way better then ANYTHING you buy from the store.
People raise Guinea pigs for food too...though I don't think they turn them into bacon!Pigs not pets? What about guinea pigs? Just saying.![]()
Kidding
I thought it was a mirror?Fluffy butt to butt.

That's why we have our pig pen downwind from us...I know people love pigs, and have them or pot belly pigs as pets and that is ok. We have raised pigs in the past when I was younger to eat. There was one reason why I never turned them into pets and begged for them not to be eaten. THE SMELL!! Didn't matter how big or clean their pen was I can NOT get past the smell of a pig pen. I can clean up after chickens, horses, even dogs and cats all day every day. But I am gagging when I get near a pig pen. Another animal that I would not turn into a pet and love all over is Cows. The smell of cows do not bother me, its their slobber. That is another trigger for me is drool, I can not even stand slobbery dogs. I love the look and size of saint bernards, but the drool is a deal breaker for me.
Beautiful tax Shad!
