Yes, I found that to be the case too (eventually). Good information to post, thanks! The one important thing I think here is to make sure it's granules and to look for any other ingredients that may be added when advertised for stall animals.
Well, shoot. I need to check the bag. I thought it was just zeolite. Online, what appears to be the same bag I have is just zeolite.

I've watched a few of those "this is what really goes on in hatcheries" films. To the best of my knowledge, most of the farm stores in the US get their chicks from these places.
I can't see any difference between hatcheries and battery egg production with regards to the horror of how the chicken is treated.
I find it strange that many will rant about the horrors of battery egg production units and then happily buy chicks out of buckets in farm stores.
There is the arguement that buying such chicks will give them a better life. The thing is, if people didn't buy them then demand would drop and the production of these poor creatures would drop as well.
I fully admit, @Shadrach, I’ve suspected as much of hatcheries and haven’t watched because of guilt. Cowardly, I know. I’m a hypocrite and not proud of it.

🤔 Hmmm, maybe it was user error? (meaning me as the user of course, not you RC!)
Oh I suspect I could beat anyone here hands down on technical incompetence! I will keep an eye open on future spoilers with replies.
:hmm

I'm sorry but this is one of my crusades. I really do not want to make this thread about an egg crusade. So I will only say this once.

Your friends and neighbors who save on average 11 cents an egg, $1.32 per dozen, support this practice. Feel free to show them the pictures and tell them so.
Yep.

I sing to mine, too. Mostly to Bridge since I wrote a dilly little song to the tune of Bicycle Built for Two for her.
I don't subject mine to my singing voice - though judging by the racket that Maggie considers her escort 'song', I may actually be in good company!

I’m caught up! Sorry about all the posts all at once. I refrained as much as possible.

Happy Mug Monday!

Not exactly a mugshot, but still cute. Bridge getting her morning cuddle.

Monday Mugs

A happy memory from the past. Which I just posted on @Ribh thread. Which I just figured out because @rjohns39 does not post on my thread and he posted while I was there. 🤦‍♂️. Well this week is off to a good start.
