Is this what you got?

It certainly says it is for chickens and it notes not to use it for guinea-pigs because of the eucalyptus - so I am guessing it is OK to use.
:barnie I can't win . I'm still wary as it reeks in the cardboard box and plastic. That company must hate me for this. But I would prefer to use only the hemp. There is a thread in BYC that recommended hemp hence I ordered it.

Thank you for your reply, as I stated before this could potentially help someone else.

@BY Bob . You can't keep me out today :D

Update on the alfalfa block that I purchased. It has wheat and a few other goodies in it.

They seem to like this and are having a good old peck of it, so I'm really pleased I bought this and I also purchased the block holder so it can remain in the run. :)
Could we get a picture of it in the block holder? I may want to do this.

Hattie seems Much Improved and A Watched Hen Never Poos

I have tried twice now to catch Hattie relieving herself today to no avail. How many times an hour do they normally poo? :barnie

She is very active today and was her normal self when l tried to give them corn today. She ate alone and suffered no one to join her even giving Lilly a little push. She is roaming the yard tail up and even jumped up here today which I cannot remember her doing in a very long time.

Cameras are on the nest box but no move by her to lay yet today.

Hattie Walking

The following video is of Hattie walking. I had gone to my chair under the magnolia tree and the Tribe had pursued me. All but Hattie. She waited on the deck steps until I called her. Here she is coming to the chair and eating some corn. Watch closely and then I will tell you what I see.

First clearly better than this morning. Her tail is up. She jogs a little. Much much better. She gets her beak in there and eats. She even shoulders Sansa away from the hand at the end. All way better than this morning.

What concerns me is a couple of things. First she did not just follow me like the rest of the tribe. Second, if you look close there is actually a little hitch in her gitty-up. Her stride is a little bit off. Third, when eating she never tolerates Sansa sharing the hand. She was way more patient than usual. Though she did shove Sansa away at the end and did eventually peck her later that was more tolerance than I normally see.

I am awaiting a poo sample to see what that looks like. Her comb is red and her eyes are clear. She is just off a little. Hopefully she is improving.

She's not bringing her left foot forward as much as the right foot, that's the hitch I see.

The Names Are In

I promised you all where my warped mind had come up with the names for @Ribh vorwerks. Here we go. Be honest, how many did you get right?

Group 5. Not a Kurt Vonnegut novel. Nope. Something far more sinister.

• Skipper

Group 6. This is a little off the wall. This is the one I was most proud of and what I thought might get the job done. Sadly I confused even @Ribh with my over cleverness. :(

Burnt Norton
• East Coker
• The Dry Salvages
• Little Gidding

These are four poems written by T. S. Eliot (her favorite poet) that were published over a six-year period but are considered linked and are called the Four Quartets. Four Quartets are four interlinked poems that share a common theme: man's relationship with time, the universe, and the divine.

Group 7. These are the four dwarves that in Norse mythology hold up the heavenly dome, created from the skull of the jötunn Ymir. There names refer to the four directions.
• Austri. (East)
• Vestri. (West)
• Nordri. (North)
• Sudri. (South)
