I Found a Vet.

After 8 years of having chickens, I found a vet that will see them and treat them as pets, not livestock. She is 20 minutes from our house.

The timing could not be better as I wait for Hattie to poo. I believe that some wellness checks will be coming up shortly if nothing else!

I'll give it up. lol... I won the ..count how many candies in one of the Easter Hatch A Long contests. What? I never win. I could have 30 dollars worth of something in their BYC store, .. don't need anything in there, or get a PFM. I already have one, or I could give it to someone for 6 months. Congrats on your spirit badge, Bob!

Not much is new here. I have the same issues in the flock... Ruby not feeling well, Dorothy rarely making egg shells, Minnie a little “off” and get this... Sunny has hot feet compared to the others. Wondering if I should check her for fever.

Despite all of that, they ALL did at least some free ranging today.

I’m getting my veggie garden (mostly tomatoes with a little squash) up and running this weekend. So excited!

If anyone is wondering why I’m up so early, there was a party going on at 02:00pst getting out of hand. A mile away. Woke me up and I quickly needed to put a stop to it. So, the local Sheriff and myself ran a few drunken patrons away. (Like I said before) I’m retired from active duty, but still enforce the law around here. Two were detained and asked for their car keys. Taxis are taking them home. I may have saved several lives this morning! My friends, never let drunk drivers out on the road. (Always make that anonymous phone call) IT SAVES INNOCENT LIVES. Ps. Good morning my BYC friends.
