Another question... I have moved the babies out to their section in the big coop/run... they are covered and I have blocked three sides where they sleep but they are basically outside... they have slept in there the last three nights and it’s been about 60 degrees but of course we are getting a cool front and it’ll be getting into the high 40s some nights and 50s some nights... they turned five weeks on Wednesday... do yall think they’ll be okay in the cooler temps?

High 40's is pretty cold if they aren't fully feathered. Some breeds fully feather more slowly than others. Buckeyes are slower than some (lay a bit later in general too). I had read 7-8 weeks for the Buckeyes and they did need that time as we had some early Fall cold nights. Also they have a vented but fully enclosed and small insulated (double-walled plastic) coop. I had them out earlier than 8 weeks, it was 5-6 weeks, but provided a Press 'n Seal-covered heating pad on low along 1/3 of the roosting area. They loved it, and sat right on it or partially on it. They could move off when they wanted to. When I saw there weren't any poops on it in the morning, or very few, and the poops were on the little bars or the tray below, I knew they didn't need it anymore, and that was around 8 weeks for them.
