You would think, that every day is “respect for chickens day”

They should be respect for all animal's every day and the protection laws should be acted upon not only words in parliaments and on news channels.

There is way too much animal abuse going on that the powers that be including the police are just ignoring.

We have only one animal charity that have any power and this needs to change pronto.

Yes, it’s monthly. Yard is big and wild and I love it. House is run down and infested with termites. And there is at least one rat in the walls.

I guess It’s good it’s not yours then in a way!
Enjoy your time there (it looks gorgeous even with all the downers you have pointed out) and know you will have your own slice of paradise with your family and your feathered ladies when the time is right I’m a little envious

BLU went missing. Jaffar was angry at me, and biting me. But he was just scared. And we reconciled.

No she gave it up the other day. You must have missed it. I was just giving her the mug shot in recognition.

Polish are not known to go broody so that was definitely something special even if it was short lived.

Do you grow your grass from seed under the straw? And it grows through? I’d like to seed some areas this year, but last time my girls got fat snd I’ll have to fence it off. Straw would be great for keeping wild birds off the seed, but since it’s often used for mulch, did not know it could be used over seed. Too cool!

Yes the grass will grow right up through the straw. Works great. Then you just mow right over the straw and mulch it in when the grass is grown. And I have straw for the hens so easy peasy.

Those are Maleficent's flowers. I had no idea they would smell so good. I love sitting in my chair right now.
