I think I understand this broody trance you have all talked about. My visiting duck is totally in a trance. And it seems to be a protective mechanism because she is almost completely invisible and totally still. I thought she was dead but I don't think she is. She just looks like a heap of leaves.
With luck the foxes won't even notice that she is there.
I don't want to disturb her by getting too close so I need to find my real camera and a long lens to get some pictures of her.
Meanwhile, chicken tax - the roadrunners making sure their feathers are all perfect and in place.

I’m glad someone worries for me. I don’t have too many friends around here. Feathered friends don’t count in this situation

A can of tuna is easy, and hard to mess up. Add some favorite sauce and wah la!
