I've done both but no one gets hit with my swinging cabbage so I think it is safe.

I forgot the swinging cabbage. It is true, I don't think mine have been hit with a swinging cabbage either.

I'm telling you, I didn't realize chickens were such meanies! You'd think with a beautiful proper name like Elizabeth that she'd act like a lady!
I told kiddo I'm calling Meatbird "MEANbird" until she gets her attitude right again.

Exactly! And you would think when I treat them like Princesses and give them a Palace to live in that they would behave with decorum and learn some basic manners.
Apparently not.

Chick and Mini.
Chick laid her first egg a couple of days ago. It was blue like Mo's.
Mini, the Silki in the picture has been broody recently and hasn't started laying again yet.
Mini hasn't got a clue about what goes on above her head! I have to practically put my hand on the floor to give her a treat or she doesn't see it in time to prevent one of the others grabbing it.
They will all eat from my hand now, something my sister hasn't been able to achieve before. Chick will jump onto my lap and while she won't settle she will allow me to touch her without jumping straight off.

Chicken whisperer! Are you out of quarantine yet? Or are you extending it so you can just stay hunkered down with the chickens? Wouldn't blame you!

MEANbird has resumed her place in the flock.

Big bad Alelle set the record straight and pecked at each and every chicken this afternoon in the span of 15 minutes.

Meatbird is back to being called her real name.

Any idea why she is feeling down?

She got a bath , because of a very dirty bumm. But she was acting slower than usual this morning. She’s out in the yard (somewhere) at the moment.
