He couldn't have been thinking and certainly shouldn't be a bus driver.

I'm sorry you family experienced such a dangerous encounter. :(
The worst is always the phone call that starts: I'm alright mum but... They were very blessed. The car was concertinaed.

I had such a good day with my young friend the whippet. So time for a well deserved rest.

As a kid (long before car seats were invented) my Mom got rear ended (she was stopped at a stop sign for goodness sake!) with me sitting in the back. Fortunately none of us was injured badly but I still remember the bang and being thrown around in the back and hitting my head on the car door handle. Terrifying.
I’m assuming because of that experience you keep a very big gap between you and the car in front. :hugs

The Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos here haven't been destructive so far :fl. Unless you count the devastation wreaked on the gum trees when they are in flower, but I consider that tip pruning. 😁
We have a couple that come to the kitchen door and sit on the otto bin looking in until we come out and feed them. If we are too slow they start banging the lid. They are rather endearing...so far.

The Rosellas and King Parrots that come to eat seed are lovely too.

The big black cockys (or is it cockies? 🤔) used to come and strip the tops off the willows we used to have, looking for borers.

Why so grumpy? Does she want some watermelon? I have extra. :old
She wants babies, and I made her get up and (gasp) drink water! I know, how dare I. It has been more than a week, and even though we would love more babies, our coop isn't set up for them. It is a good 3' off the ground with a very basic and too steep ramp. Modifications need to happen before we can consider it.
