The problem chickens have with strong winds, apart from getting blown about is they can't hear. This is what causes them most distress I believe.

There is another problem with the wind; it messes with your fabulous tail feathers. So undignified!

I think she's looking for a nest site.

She was. She eventually went to a nest box for awhile, came out doing the egg/escort song and the whole bit, but didn’t produce anything.

And the reason there’s a tiny container of water is because I don’t want this broody business to kill Millie. I’m gonna let her sit it out, since she’s going to be keeping Ruby company when she passes.

Sunday Morning Egg Drama

So there seems to be lots of egg laying happening this morning.

1. Broody Millie is mean, so nobody wants to lay beside her.

Pretty sure I've alluded to this before, but I'll say it flat out - I could watch your chicken documentary videos all day! Your girls seem so happy and your narration is engaging.
