That's comforting!

When broody, Ivy gets up to eat, drink, poop, and dust bathe. Her most recent broody spell was around 30 days and I believe she'd have gone longer had I not intervened. She lost a little condition but that's natural and she regained it quickly.
I’m making Millie come out in the morning before I go to work and then again when I get home. More on weekends. I’ve been bringing her baby bird formula and egg, but today she did not eat the regular damp feed. I’ll probably leave her with water again tomorrow.

We had a house warming party in the half finished coop. I offered the orphans some lettuce and they were scared of it. Often times they will challenge each other where two or more will raise their necks until one backs down or is pecked down. Anjou was sure to assert her place against two.

Didn't know it was a secret! How nice though. I'd love to find that picture you posted where they're in the background I looked but couldn't.

Rich and I would like to thank everyone on here and off here that prayed or sent good thoughts our way.

Rich is feeling the best he has in quite some time. He still has to follow up for the aneurysm but as of now he is happily back to baseline.

We celebrated with a lovely dinner out. He said after eating an entire T-Bone steak that he finally felt alive again. 🤣

I am glad for this news!

Wet Wattles
I got slo-mo of Maggie dunking her wattles. It was really hot - around 90 degrees - today and I am surprised she didn't go all out and submerge her comb as well.
Gratitude to @BY Bob for showing me slo-mo - I really love it.
OMG, this is freaking AMAZING!!! I took some slow mo movies awhile bs k of the girls picking sprouts, but they seemed to upload to youtube real time(?)

OMG, scared of lettuce! I had a young hen who was afraid of paper plates. LOL.
