I’m hoping no one needs to start a generator, but great to have just in case. I’m hoping that my roo gets better, because I have to go to San Diego tomorrow, and I refuse to bring him with me in the SkyHawk . He seems okay at the moment. He’s grooming himself.

Lies! You would totally take him with you!
(San Diego area is some of my old stomping grounds...a lot has changed since then, but Torrey Pines is still beautiful)

Busted
That being said...was a simple vegetarian red beans and rice dish tonight....heavy on the spice. @WhoDatChick may even approve the New Orleans nod
I do! Thanks! We have talked about red beans and rice here before.. and I was telling everyone that they should never feed the the leftovers to their chickens 😆🤢... I learned that the hard way!

Hahahaha so this little red has done this last nigh and this evening, at 6:30, she fusses around peeping looking up where I am, and then walking around looking for somewhere to lay down.
I have been giving them a towel to lay on at night,,, hahahahahah
Take a guess she was wanting,,, the nest
I gave them the towel and they all went to the nest Lolololo to cute

Little redheads ! :th

Thank you. I think that was Ruby's last run-around. I'm glad I let her out for a bit. She tired easily, and I took her back to her flock. I had to get to work, anyway. She put herself back to bed with Millie before I left.

I'm working from home the last couple hours and she is in bad shape. She hadn't moved since I left. I made Millie come out for a bit, but when I attempted Ruby, I could tell she was too weak and ended up leaving her. I brought her water and stroked her back, but she wanted to get away from me. She hopped up (18 inches) to the upper coop to do so. Now I feel terrible, because I disturbed her and she's not with her Millie. She's in the upper coop with her face in the corner. I put up a couple little clip fans to make sure the air is moving, as it was in the low 80ºs here today and Ruby does not do well in heat.

The end is near. My poor, sweet Ruby. I hope she isn't suffering too badly.
:hugs:hugs I'm so sorry. It sounds peaceful though & she has her family around her. :hugsI'm sure she appreciates that.
