Yesterday my friends and I went out and bought canvas shoes to paint. I'm proud of my results.

I am on borrowed time, but the addition of the chicken garden area and the long grass has brought approval from the rank and file members of the IFLC and so I am optimistic I will get through this round with only minor concessions.

Oh yes, you are in big trouble!!

Foster Farms, is the prominent poultry processing company locally here, but their trucks do occasionally drive by on the highway next to my property. Every time my chickens see the trucks, they quickly run and hide, why is that?
Walmart distribution center is here as well, but they have no problem with them.

The Calcium is a little lower than layer, 3.7 to 3.9, but much higher than all flock, 1.4 to 1.9. This might be the best mix for your tribe. TSC carries it.
This is very helpful, thank you, I ordered it today. I like the level of protein and calcium, just what you said, seems not too much of either. I gave Peanut most of a crushed Tums in some mash balls (they will take them from my fingers) but will crush a calcium citrate with D3 tomorrow. She has not laid today, seems perky and active, tail up.

I read on this topic in another thread that just happened to post yesterday or the day before https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...elled-eggs-—-tips-on-dealing-with-it.1471097/
and I feel I can trust @DobieLover. Think I'll try the suggestion until the new feed comes and will see what results.
